In 1943, coverts to Armoured.  Converted to Engineer in 1997 as 31 Combat Engineer Regiment (The Elgin’s).

1st Canadian Armoured Personnel Carrier Regiment

Created in 1944.  Disbanded in 1945.

Corps level asset.   Moved to the Supplementary Order of Battle of the Canadian Army in 1964.

The 17th Duke of York’s Royal Canadian Hussars and the 6th Duke of Connaught’s Royal Canadian Hussars amalgamated to form The Royal Canadian Hussars (Montreal) in 1958.

4th Canadian Armoured Division

Authorized September 1939.  

The 4th Canadian Armoured Division consisted of Infantry units converted to Tank units.

In 1942, coverts to Armoured.  Coverts back to Infantry in 1946.

23rd Armoured Regiment (The Halifax Rifles)

In 1942, coverts to Armoured.  Disbanded in 1943. Moved to Supplementary Order of Battle in 1965. Reactivated in 2009.

Mobilized in 1940 by combining volunteers fromLes Fusiliers de Sherbrooke and the Sherbrooke Regiment. Demobilized in 1946, and its battle honours shared equally by the two predecessor units the Sherbrooke Hussars and the Les Fusiliers de Sherbrooke.

Converted to Artillery in 1946.  Disbanded in 1946.
